2023 DOE Regulatory Changes

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

In an effort to reduce energy consumption, the United States Department of Energy (DOE) has instituted new minimum efficiency standards for the HVAC industry. These changes will begin on January 1, 2023 and will require that all HVAC manufacturers produce central air-conditioning and heat pump systems that will meet these new DOE energy efficiency requirements. Not only are the minimum efficiency requirements changing, but testing regulations to determine these efficiencies have also been changed. In order to meet these new minimum requirements set forth by the DOE the installation of your new equipment is also of great importance. At TECS, we follow all guidelines and use the latest technology available in order to ensure that your HVAC system is installed correctly and in an efficient manner. The proper installation of your HVAC system will lower your home’s energy consumption, help you stay more comfortable in your home, and save you money while contributing to our overall global health.
